THINK! Road Safety RV Weigh Days

Caravan and Camping SA (CCSA) THINK! Road Safety RV Weigh Days are an initiative focused on towing safety, awareness, and education. Weigh Days are proudly supported by the South Australian Government’s THINK! Road Safety campaign.

If your vehicle/RV is overweight, your safety on the road, and that of others is at risk – your equipment is not designed to handle weight in excess of the permissible mass stated by the manufacturer. As such:

  • Your brakes may not be effective
  • There is more chance of instability or sway
  • Your tyres may not cope
  • Your tow ball may not cope
  • And you are not just risking safety. You can damage your vehicle, you can be fined, and your insurer can refuse a claim if you are in an accident.
