Sensory Space

Our show features a dedicated Sensory Space, designed to support a range of regulatory needs and help visitors feel included in our Follow Your Wander experience. The space provides a calm, supportive environment for visitors with sensory sensitivities, hidden disabilities, or anyone feeling overwhelmed or dysregulated.

A range of sensory tools will be available in the space. However, if you have specific or preferred sensory supports, we encourage you to bring them with you. Please note that headphones or earmuffs are not provided, so visitors who require these should bring their own.

  • The Sensory Space is available to all visitors who need it
  • No booking is required
  • The space is not designed for all-day use and is subject to capacity
  • If capacity is reached, staff may limit access to one carer or family member per visitor using the space
  • All visitors under 18 mustbe accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult
  • Family members and support persons are welcome

Please note that the Sensory Space is intended for regulation and rest. It is not a social or play space.

Additional guidelines:

  • No hot food or hot beverages
  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited

Our staff are available to assist if you have any questions or require support.

Most of the show is undercover, with some outdoor areas to explore. It runs rain or shine, and is designed so you can take your time, wander between pavilions and make a full day of it.

To stay comfortable, we recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable shoes – there’s a lot to see
  • A hat and sunscreen
  • A reusable water bottle
  • Something to jot down ideas or snap photos
  • The whole family – there’s something here for every age

Come prepared, take it at your own pace, and settle in for a great day out.

We will have information booths at the Showground entry gates. If you require more support to purchase your ticket or information about the event, please visit the information booth to talk to our friendly volunteer staff.
