I would like to welcome you to the 2020 Let’s Go Caravan and Camping Show.
Firstly, I’d like to mention that our hearts go out to those impacted by the bushfires in Australia this year, and we have already heard firsthand of the impact of those in South Australia, particularly in the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island regions.
We cannot emphasise enough how important tourism is to these areas and encourage you to go and visit these regions. A great campaign that we have been supporting is #BookThemOut. Run by the South Australian Tourism Commission, it encourages visitation to these areas. Make sure you come past the Destination SA stand, run by Caravan and Camping SA and pick up some information on these regions. Whilst you are at the stand, make sure you grab a copy of our 2020 Almanac, full of articles and places to stay in South Australia’s regions, plus some great articles on self-drive holidays in our State.
The 2020 Show is bigger this year - not only in terms of product, but also in what you can do and see whilst you are here.
This year’s show is jam packed with a huge range of caravans, campers and accessories, including every conceivable gadget and part for caravanning and camping. Technology and innovation continue to develop, and this industry is always leaping upon new developments and incorporating them into vans, electrics and even tent fabrication.
We’re aiming to bring you closer to the Caravan and Camping lifestyle, with not only a lot of products, but also with plenty of information and education on this topic.
Our seminars on the Entertainment Stage have speakers that cover a range of topics from Driving Lights to Travelling with Dogs. New this year we have our Hands-On Workshops, where small groups of no more than 15 people can really get their hands dirty and learn close up how to do those tasks that you’ve been asking about, such as changing a caravan tyre and how to install a catch can.
We’re hosting the Up in Smoke National BBQ Competition again this year, as it was a successful collaboration in 2019. Make sure you come and see the guys compete and get some hints and tips from these passionate experts on how to cook an amazing BBQ. Making the event even more exciting is the chance for one of the teams to win a Golden Ticket to compete in Texas!
For the kids on the weekend, there is loads to do. They can grab a Camping Kids Trail pass and explore the Show, looking for the sticker points to complete the trail and enter to win some amazing Lego sets. They can also learn how to put up a tent in small groups and try slacklining.
Thanks for coming to the Show and please continue to enjoy the caravan and camping lifestyle.
Remember, you can make some great financial investments during your life, but you can’t buy time, so use it wisely and enjoy our wonderful country and make some memories.
